Composer-pianist Sid Hille leads the Sid Hille Contemporary Collective, which played its inaugural concert at the Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki on March 22nd, 2014. The Sid Hille Contemporary Collective, comprised of four fearless explorers, has found a realm teeming with possibilities in the intersection of jazz and modern concert music, evoking imagery of outer space. Alongside Hille, the collective includes guitarist Teemu Viinikainen, cellist Markus Hohti, and bass clarinetist Heikki Nikula. Together, these highly skilled improvisers guide their audience on a journey beyond the boundaries of style and genre. The captivating performance arises from the chemistry and trust among the musicians, enabling liberated improvisation and taking risks.

Elektroniset äänimaisemat, jazz ja moderni konserttimusiikki sulautuvat taianomaiseksi kokemukseksi Sid Hille Contemporary Collectiven juhlakonsertissa Temppeliaukion kirkossa perjantaina 22. maaliskuuta. Konsertin yhteydessä julkaistaan yhtyeen toinen albumi Lightyears Ahead. 
Säveltäjä-pianisti Sid Hillen johtama Sid Hille Contemporary Collective soitti historiansa ensimmäisen konsertin Helsingin Temppeliaukion kirkossa 22. maaliskuuta vuonna 2014. Siitä alkaneen kahden vuoden intensiivisen keikkailujakson jälkeen luovalle tauolle jäänyt yhtye palaa nyt rikospaikalle päivälleen 10 vuotta myöhemmin. Comebackin lisäksi konsertissa juhlistetaan samana päivänä julkaistavaa Lightyears Ahead -albumia. 
Neljän ennakkoluulottoman tutkimusmatkaajan Sid Hille Contemporary Collective on löytänyt jazzin ja modernin konserttimusiikin välitilasta mahdollisuuksia pullollaan olevan avaruuden, joka saa mielikuvituksen kuplimaan ja yhtyeen luomaan musiikkia spontaanilla otteella. Hillen lisäksi kitaristi Teemu Viinikaisesta, sellisti Markus Hohtista ja bassoklarinetisti Heikki Nikulasta muodostuva huippuimprovisoijien kollektiivi johdattaa kuulijansa matkalle tyyli- ja genrerajojen tuolle puolen. Vangitseva esitys syntyy muusikoiden keskinäisestä kemiasta ja luottamuksesta, mikä mahdollistaa vapautuneen improvisaation sekä riskien ottamisen.
