Styria Meets Copenhagen: Alpenglow VI at ALICE at Alice cph

During four days in August, the four Copenhagen venues 5E, KoncertKirken (Freedom Music Festival), H15 and ALICE cph, will be hosting a concert series with never before seen Danish-Austrian music meetings. ALPENGLOW VI will present 24 Austrian musicians and 12 Danish musicians, all performing in brand new constellations with completely new music. The musicians are carefully selected by the organizers. The meeting in Denmark is the first part of a long-term music exchange project that links the Danish impro-environment with the Austrian. After the meeting in Denmark, the 12 Danish musicians will travel to Austria to play at the V:NM Festival in Graz in May 2019....

Danske og østrigske improvisationsmusikere i verdensklasse indtager ALICE under en sjælden koncertrække med hidtil uhørt musikalsk udveksling. ALPENGLOW VI er arrangeret af JazzDanmark, Kresten Osgood og V:NM.

I løbet af fire dage i august lægger de fire københavnske venues 5e, KoncertKirken, H15 og ALICE cph scener til en koncertrække med hidtil uhørte dansk-østrigske musikermøder. Til ALPENGLOW VI har JazzDanmark, Kresten Osgood og V:NM udvalgt 12 danske og 24 østrigske musikere i absolut verdensklasse. På ALICE møder 14 af de danske og østrigske musikere hinanden i improvisationens tegn og skal i helt nye konstellationer opføre komplet ny-komponeret musik. Mødet i Danmark er første del af et langsigtet musikudvekslingsprojekt, der kobler det danske improvisationsmiljø med det østrigske. Et halvt år efter mødet i Danmark, rejser de 12 danske musikere til Østrig, for at spille til V:NM Festival i Graz til maj 2019
