Normally, the Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation/Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame (www.arjazz.org) holds its weekly meet-and-greet during Monday Jazz at The Afterthought. However, there will be an extra chance for AJHF members and friends to socialize on Friday, 18 October 2013 (8-11 pm) at Little Rock's historic Capital Hotel while enjoying fine jazz (provided every Wednesday-Saturday, 7:30/8 pm - 10:30/11 pm) by the accomplished Ted Ludwig Trio: Ted Ludwig (guitar), Joe Vick (bass), Brian Brown (drums). This informal get-together was originally scheduled to allow AJHF members and friends a chance to visit with Grammy-winning bassist James Leary (1996 Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame inductee, lifetime AJHF member), who resides in California but planned to be in Arkansas for the weekend...

This informal get-together was originally scheduled to allow AJHF members and friends a chance to visit with Grammy-winning bassist James Leary (1996 Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame inductee, lifetime AJHF member), who resides in California but planned to be in Arkansas for the weekend. However, complications with a professional project in Los Angeles have forced him to postpone his trip to Arkansas; when he has rescheduled, details will be posted to the Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation's Facebook page. Jazz aficionados are still encouraged to attend the informal meet-and-greet on 18 October 2013 and enjoy the music.
