On the Second Tuesday of each month at 7p, the restored 100-year-old sanctuary of St. Paul United Methodist Church becomes the premier listening room in Dallas for the best in jazz. St. Paul, founded on its current site by recently freed slaves in 1873, is older than jazz itself. Tuesday Nite Jazz is where today's jazz returns to its roots in the African American church.

Catch the Knucks fresh off their Knux 'n Pups Tour when The Funky Knuckles bring their fusionistic brand of jazzy funk to the Dallas Arts District: May 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Tuesday Nite Jazz in the historic sanctuary of St. Paul UMC Dallas, The Soul of the Arts District, and again on May 16 when the Knucks close out Uptown Jazz Dallas International Jazz Festival's "Live on the Lawn" series at Klyde Warren Park with a concert featuring Tatiana Mayfield. Both concerts are free to the public.
