The Work of Art Trio is so named for its leader, Bill Gerhardt. The tones that emanate from Mr. Gerhardt’s piano allow for the listener to witnesses great art, first hand: spontaneity, beauty, intent, and fulfillment. The trio is skillfully rounded out with Asheville bassist, Mike Holstein, and resident “Wheel Session” drummer, Kevin Korschgen.
The “Wheel Sessions” is a jazz performance series hosted at the Wheel, in Greenville South Carolina’s West Greenville Arts District. Performances begin at 7:30 pm, and are held in front of an intimate listening audience.
