Trio Costel Nitescu at Jazz Club Étoile

As a brilliant improviser with an amazing sense of swing, Costel Nitescu is today one of the most talented gypsy jazz violinists.It becomes difficult not to meet him on the biggest stages where he tirelessly walks his bow, whether with Tchavolo Schmitt, or alongside Mandino Reinhardt, Angelo Debarre, Marcel Loeffler or Stochelo Rosenberg. Costel also participated in the recording of the soundtrack of the film "DJANGO", a consecration for this violinist of Romanian origin, with a classical training, who learned jazz in a self-taught way when he arrived in France more than 20 years ago. At his side, to complete this trio in the spirit of that of Stephane Grappelli, Joe Pass and NHOP: guitarist Hugo Guezbar, who impresses with his finesse and musical maturity, and William Brunard, a brilliant double bass player whom we were able to listen to alongside Birelli Lagrène and Angelo Debarre..  Their album «Entre Amis», recorded in 2022, was released in spring 2023....

Brillant improvisateur avec un redoutable sens du swing, Costel Nitescu est aujourd'hui l'un des plus talentueux violonistes de jazz manouche.Il devient difficile de ne pas le croiser sur les plus grandes scènes où il promène inlassablement son archet, que ce soit auprès de Tchavolo Schmitt, ou aux côtés de Mandino Reinhardt, d'Angelo Debarre, de Marcel Loeffler ou encore Stochelo Rosenberg. Costel a également participé à l'enregistrement de la bande originale du film "DJANGO", une consécration pour ce violoniste d'origine roumaine, doté d'une formation classique, qui a appris le jazz de façon autodidacte à son arrivée en France il y a plus de 20 ans. A ses côtés, pour compléter ce trio dans l'esprit de celui de Stephane Grappelli, Joe Pass et NHOP : le guitariste Hugo Guezbar, qui impressionne par son jeu tout en finesse et sa maturité musicale, et William Brunard, brillant contrebassiste que l'on a pu notamment écouter aux côtés de Birelli Lagrène et Angelo Debarre..  Leur album « Entre Amis », enregistré en 2022, est sorti au printemps 2023.
