ZSC is a 7-piece fusion band based in New Orleans. The group was formulated in fall of 2019 during the bandleader Zahria Sims second year at Loyola University New Orleans. The members of the band are Zahria Sims on tenor sax, Jake Peff on alto sax, Ryan Pennington on guitar, Shout Young on keys, Dane Harter on bass, Travis Simmons on drums, and Rocky Leonard as vocalist. The band plays original compositions and covers of compositions by their inspirations, such as Herbie Hancock, Marquis Hill, Cory Henry, and more.With support from Ethos of Izba.
