Black Music Renaissance is a three-day event, conceived by award-winning pianist Kelvin Sholar, with the goal to celebrate the influential dance music of famous Black Music composers, poets and performers - and show how this music is quite relevant to today's Black music and music of the world.

Black Music Renaissance features the talents of exciting world class musicians from Denmark, USA, and Cuba.

Set 1: Features Cuban Trumpet master Daniel Allen Oberto's interpretation of traditional Cuban selections, including sacred music of Yoruban culture; intermixed with electronics and contemporary selections.

Set 2: VSS Trio will perform Jazz interpretations of Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills and Robert Hood- the famous composers of Detroit Techno and Minimal Techno.
