The Berlin based Ensemble Discoveries: Ulf Mengersen, Klaus Kürvers, Matthias Müller, Uygur Vural, Hui-Chun Lin is a quintet with four string players (two basse, two cellos) and one trombone. The music presents the various sounds with big range from deep hum to high density sound-sculpture. As well as free improvised music, Ensemble Discoveries has their own repertoire that improvised music anchor with certain ideas and concepts.
Aspecially the bowing sounds mixed with breathing sounds creates a new perception.
