Guitarist Jeanfrançois Prins (“a melodic storyteller”) is back at A Trane with a new and exciting project. Jean-Yves Jung, Parisian organist is among many other projects a long-time member of Gipsy guitar great Birelli Lagrene's quartet. Jean-Yves and Belgium's most international guitarist Jeanfrançois Prins met in Berlin where they performed together in 2014 at the EUNIC Jazz Festival.
For their first performance at A Trane, they decided to pay an energetic and inventive tribute to two masters of Hardbop, this jazz style from the 60's, full of Blues and Soul: Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery....
