This new group goes back to a two days recording session with two different trios Dudu Kouate and Ignaz Schick organized in 2024.
One was with cellist Julia Bilat, the other with bassist Meinrad Kneer. Now it was decided to fuse the two trios into a quartet. The resulting music is a fusion of improvised music,Jazz, chamber string music and african elements. The thriving grooves of Kouateās playful african percussion meet abstract chamber sections of the strings all connected withThe inventive swinging melodies of Schickās saxophones.
