Das Zitat der Jazzlegende Steve Lacy hat sich das seit 2010 bestehende Berliner Ensemble Oktopuzzle zum Motto gemacht.
Unter der Leitung des Berliner Bassisten und Komponisten Horst Nonnenmacher erarbeitete sich die Band über Jahre hinweg ein Repertoire aus Titeln von Horst Nonnenmacher, Hannes Zerbe, Charles Mingus, Wayne Shorter und Eigenkompositionen der Bandmitglieder.
Im ersten set spielt Oktopuzzle.
Das Sextett wird im zweiten set um einige profilierte Musikerinnen erweitert. Extra arrangierte Songs der brasilianischen Sängerin Eutália de Carvalho erweitern das Repertoire und treffen auf die brasilianisch-deutsche Formation „Oloyé“, es gesellt sich noch ein renommierter Saxofonist hinzu und es wird gerockt!
