About
Udgang is a project created by Atahan Çiftçi, composer and jazz performer based in Istanbul / Rotterdam. Presenting the oud with simplicity and a distinctive harmony, the project introduces a unique blend of Turkish Music and jazz timbres. Mainly inspired by Turkish Music, Udgang touches various cultures from the Far East to Africa and reveals diverse sounds and grooves.
Atahan Çiftçi, who released the album “Udgang” in September 2021, released singles and EPs named “Udgang Faces”, “Mesopotamian Dance” and “Yağmur Yağar” in the following years. He continues to release new recordings and perform in the European jazz scene.
