Eric Mintel Quartet at Deer Head Inn

The Eric Mintel Quartet isn’t a cover or tribute band playing rote
renditions of familiar songs, but a group of highly skilled
musicians breathing new life into jazz classics. Their take on Dave
Brubeck’s music is well worth the price of admission, but they
aren’t a one-trick pony. When they played “Take the A Train,” their
interpretation took the audience’s breath away. Then they played
“Caravan” as a very rewarding encore. The four of them are so
