About
Known for his melodic inventiveness, warm
tone and heartfelt lyrical approach to
improvisation, saxophonist and composer Josh
Kemp is a major new voice on the UK jazz
scene but with a tone reminiscent of Dexter
Gordon sounds as though he belongs in New
York in the 1950s. The A-list rhythm section of
Tim Lapthorn, Mick Hutton and Matt Skelton
provide accompaniment of the highest order,
playing music from his new album, Tone Poetry.
