About
Tommaso's love of classic black-and-white photography is well known, and previous performances have featured music inspired by the photographs of Elliot Erwitt. His latest project is inspired by the Italian photographer Gianni Berengo Gardin. Starace has chosen 14 images from Gardin's portfolio featuring such places as Palermo, Milan, Venice, Genoa, Siena and Florence. Each image holds a story that the quartet narrate whilst the images are projected onto a screen creating an atmosphere of 'cinematic jazz'.
