Thisfollows his previous album, Away From Home (2021), recorded thanks to thesupport of the Pathways to Jazz Grant, which he received in 2018. That recordingfeatured a stellar lineup: Greg Harris on vibraphone, Alex Heffron on guitar,Andrew Wheelock on drums, and Ike Spivak on saxophone.Teppa holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Jazz Studies from theUniversity of Colorado Boulder. He has performed with an impressive roster ofartists including Wynton Marsalis, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Matt Wilson, Ed Simon, ChrisPotter, Tom Harrell, Bobby Shew, Ron Miles, Art Lande, Slide Hampton, DonByron, Jeremy Pelt, and Ben Goldberg, among others. His accolades include thePathways to Jazz Grant (2018), three DownBeat Magazine Best Jazz SoloistAwards (2004, 2005, 2006), and two Latin Grammy nominations.
