This Danish band is a true global player. The quintet draws inspiration from traditional music from Africa, Asia and the Nordic countries, traveled to and toured in China, Brazil, the US, Portugal and others, and incorporates styles like indie, jazz and folk music. All these influences are merged into a genuinely unique sound. In 2013, Girls in Airports was chosen as "Young Elite" band by the Danish Arts Council.
