Formed and led by double bass player Jasper Høiby since 2005, Phronesis have quite a record to look back on to: five acclaimed albums, concerts and tours in Australia, North America and nearly all of Europe as well as raving reviews by the press. Their very accessible, groove-driven but - at the same time - distinctly complex sound has led Jazzwise magazine to call them "one of the most exciting jazz bands on the planet today".
