I saw this grouping at the Jazz Promotion Network AGM in Birmingham in early November and was mightily impressed by the musicianship of these young guys (Arnie apart) , their ability to play the classic tunes was impressive, but more than that, they played with a real lightness and bounce that was thoroughly entertaining. I decided on the spot to invite Arnie and his students to come to Bristol and play for us and see the future of Jazz to come.
