When it comes to vocal jazz, scat singing, and vocalese, Judy Niemack and Darmon Meader belong in the pantheon of all-time greats, recognized as masters by their audiences as well as the entire musical profession. They met in New York City in 1982, when Darmon’s Grammy Award-winning vocal group, "New York Voices" made their debut. A mutual love of Jazz Standards, improvised scat-singing and vocal harmony led them to record and perform together in the USA and Germany.

Known in the worlds of both vocal and instrumental jazz, Darmon has achieved international recognition as the founder, musical director, chief arranger, composer, producer, saxophonist, and vocalist with The "New York Voices".

Judy Niemack’s voice is a flexible instrument, with which she sculpts each note into life. She has released 10 albums internationally as a leader which explore the vast breadth of her repertoire. She is a musician’s musician, sharing her stories in such a personal way that each person in the room feels as if they are the one she told them to. Besides being known for her vocal mastery, she is recognized worldwide as a lyricist, composer, arranger, and educator (i.e. with her book series, "Hear It and Sing It!").

This will be their first appearance together in Belgium, where they will be reunited with their favorite Belgian rhythm section, performing standards and songs about the Big Apple, including Duke Ellington's "Take the A Train", Gershwin's "There's a Boat that's Leaving Soon for New York" and of course "New York Stories".
