About
Jazz pianist Cho Yoonseung, who is always nicknamed a world-class jazz artist, was born in Seoul in 1973 and grew up under the influence of his father Cho Sangkook, a first-generation jazz drummer. He immigrated to Argentina in South America in 1986 with his father, and he spent his childhood in Argentina and grew up learning various genres of South American music. He got the first performance stage at Teatro San Martin in 1988, and next at Teatro Cervantes, and at his high school, he appeared on the Radio Tango program hosted by Julio Kags, with a live performance. Since 1989, he took classic classical lessons at the Conservatorio Nacional of the National Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires “Carlos López Buchardo” and continued to study with the Argentinian top classical pianist and composer Inés Gómez Carrillo, who was mentored by Arthur Runbinstein. He studied at the Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory in the U.S.A. as a scholarship student, and took an elite course that crosses classical and jazz while learning from Hal Crook, Paul Schmeling, and Kenny Werner and was the first Asian full scholarship student of selected only 7 students in the world of ‘Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz in USA’....
