Rosenwinkel’s name is a landmark in itself: one of the most influential guitarists in modern jazz, whose playing blends lyrical soundscapes, rock-driven momentum, and the complexity of contemporary jazz. His music unfolds like a dreamlike narrative—every note carries weight, every melody opens a new door to something deeper.

The trailblazing, multi-instrumentalist Kurt Rosenwinkel was signed by the iconic jazz label Verve in 1995, and since then he has appeared in countless ensembles as both bandleader and sideman. He has collaborated with Brian Blade, Paul Motian, Joshua Redman, Aaron Goldberg, and Louis Cole, and has remained active outside the jazz world as well—most notably around hip-hop. He has performed with Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest and with The Roots, whose drummer and bandleader, Questlove, attended the same arts high school as Rosenwinkel. And from Eric Clapton to Donald Fagen, many legendary musicians have tipped their hat to his extraordinary talent.

OPENING ACT: DAVEFORM QUINTET

The Daveform Quintet, a group creating within the genre of contemporary jazz, arrives at the Eiffel Art Studios with the unique and ecstatic musical world of their second album. The ensemble was founded by drummer–composer Dávid Szegő.
After their first album Arrival, they recorded their second release with the collaboration of world-renowned American guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel.
