Every year on 30 April, jazz is celebrated around the world. To mark the occasion, many great events are held in our country.

In November 2011, UNESCO decided to celebrate 30 April each year as International Jazz Day in recognition of the fact that jazz is a genre that promotes dialogue and understanding between cultures, bringing people around the world closer together. Jazz Day was initiated by world-renowned pianist Herbie Hancock, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, and was celebrated in 2012 with thousands of concerts around the world.

The celebrations will conclude with a special concert by an occasional orchestra of festival curators and fellow musicians.
