Singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzón-Montano’s compositions revel in unabashed personality that capture and inspect the contrasts of youth and maturity. His songs are a humble and urgent bout of self-expression, playing off and building upon what might otherwise be the limitations of a solo performer. His first record, Bishouné: Alma del Huila, is a heartfelt tribute to the role of family, love, and New York City.
