Hess Is More is the project of Denmark's Mikkel Hess, a composer and multi-instrumentalist who combines elements of jazz, electronica, Scandinavian folk, soundtrack music, and classic pop with a playfully melodic and decidedly humorous sensibility. Hess has studied with jazz legend Ed Thigpen, among others, and spawned a successful Danish radio single in Ssshhhh. Their 2011 Nublu Records release Creation Keeps the Devil Away continues to receive global acclaim with Hess himself actively composing and performing with the Royal Danish Ballet and being included in the soundtrack for the Amnesty International 50th Anniversary Film.
