JAY REED and JOHN STOWELL will be performing an hour of music featuring some fairly obscure standards, original songs and probably a few well-worn tunes from the Great American Songbook.
ABOUT JOHN STOWELL:
John is a unique jazz guitarist influenced as much by pianists and horn players as he is by guitarists. His original take on harmony, chords and improvisation sets him apart. He has taught internationally for over 40 years in every educational setting.
ABOUT JAY REED:
Jay Reed’s 30-year journey as a guitarist has been influenced by a diverse range of music styles – from the classic rock sounds of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, to the technical brilliance and infectious swing of Oscar Peterson, and the more modern sounds of John Scofield and Wayne Krantz – all of these and more find their way into Reed’s list of influences.
