“Footsteps” CD Release Tour in Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, Guelph, Waterloo –
March 12 to 21, 2015

Gray Matter – the contemporary jazz group co-led by brothers Justin and Derek Gray – is set to release “Footsteps”, their debut album. Their first combined effort features Grammy® award-winning trumpeter Ingrid Jensen (www.ingridjensen.com), Juno-nominated pianist Todd Pentney and Vancouver’s rising star tenor saxophonist/film composer Eli Bennett (www.elibennett.com).

Gray Matter brings a unique blend of modern jazz and groove-based music, with influences ranging from John Coltrane to James Brown. Gray Matter will be releasing “Footsteps” with an 8-concert, Ontario/Quebec CD Release tour: playing two-nights at Toronto’s Rex Hotel, a Saturday feature performance at The Jazz Room in Waterloo, and a Sunday afternoon matinee presented by the Kingston Jazz Society. Aiming to connect with all generations of Canadian music lovers, Gray Mater will also be well leading post-secondary workshops, including a noon-hour clinic at Humber College....
