This event celebrates Art Blakey's 100th birthday. Norman Marshall Villeneuve has styled his playing and his philosophy on his hero, Art Blakey. Norman was titled "Canada's Art Blakey" by Geoff Chapman, jazz critic for the Globe & Mail. A true bebop artist, Norman is one of the few classic bebop drummers from the golden age of jazz.
