About

The Turtle Island Quartet was founded forty years ago by violinist and composer David Balakrishnan and it continues to put a new twist on jazz favorites and standards, in addition to the group's intriguing original compositions. This concert is titled Shades of Blue, saluting the centennial of both Miles Davis and John Coltrane, exploring a number of their composiions.
