Of course, all this also applies when she plays her brilliant solo piano programme unaccompanied: Then her performance lives from the absolute moments of freedom.
Takase’s creative will and humour are based on free expression as much as on Takase’s stubborn musicianship and show a playfulness that is equally influenced by the jazz traditions of Europe and the USA. Last but not least, a second grand piano will roll onto the stage, where Takase’s husband Alexander von Schlippenbach will take his place. Five years ago, the couple improvised the piece „Bach Factory“ together, but in their decades-long partnership, the two are so familiar with each other that Takase and von Schlippenbach can meet any pianistic challenge as improvisers.
