On January 20, Luxembourg-born drummer Mathieu Clement will drum up a selection of the crême de la crême of the Cologne jazz scene to present his bachelor’s degree concert.
He requires his fellow musicians to create spontaneously on stage and therefore leaves plenty of room for influences from the music makers in his compositions. Together with Robert Landfermann on bass and Leon Hattori on piano, he drives the wind players. Jakob Bänsch, Victor Fox and Julius van Rhee form a frontline straight out of a picture book....
