In the CGNYC – Cologne meets New York series, Cologne bassist Florian Herzog invites New York musicians to create exciting concerts in a first meeting with other Cologne musicians.

Caroline Davis plays music to connect people and open up new horizons. Her musical path began in Singapore and later led her to the USA, where she discovered the saxophone.

Caroline has collaborated with artists such as Lee Konitz and John Zorn and is active in mentoring programs such as IAJE’s Sisters in Jazz. She has received numerous grants and residencies and often incorporates cognitive science into her compositions. As a teaching artist, she teaches at the New School and advocates for social justice by organizing community events.
