During the pandemic, Vetter, like almost all musicians, was often left to her own devices musically. In this situation, she became increasingly aware of her synaesthetic tendencies: by recording the visual impulses she experienced on the auditory, haptic and visual levels of perception while playing the piano, Vetter was able to reflect on her intuitive thought processes. In the past, these impulse drawings were often associated with constellations, which gave rise to the idea for the Fabulae program.

In this program, Vetter translates selected constellations into new compositions: in the process, constellations result in points of contact on the keyboard, which are further developed musically by incorporating her personal interval associations for visual forms and the context of Greek mythology. Initial visual sketches are musically rotated, turned, mirrored and/or deformed until the character of the respective constellation is worked out – a working method not unlike that of an illustrator. It is continued in the performance, where the forms seen are interpreted and improvised. In the quartet, this process is strengthened by the highly inspiring influence of Angelov and Klein, which further shapes the music and allows its essence to emerge ever more clearly.
