In spring 1996, Alexei Aigui and Dietmar Bonnen recorded their first joint production at LOFT as one half of the Russian-German Composers Quartet. Even then, they included a Zappa composition. In 2003, the duo then released a complete CD with their Zappa interpretations: black water. Recorded at the LOFT, of course.

Frank Zappa would have turned 85 in 2025. A good occasion to once again create a concert program with his pieces....

The duo will be joined (as always) by surprise guest Lothar Burghaus on various woodwind instruments.

P.S.: In 2022 – at the beginning of the Ukraine war – Alexei left Russia with his family and now lives in France.
