Idiocracy (government by foolish people)
In view of the current political situation in the world, I think it is appropriate and important to artistically address the madness that currently prevails.
In the new piece for For Alto, the speech melodies of various politicians who are helping to shape the current political chaos or are trying to prevent it (if you can believe them) are juxtaposed or intertwined.
The economy always seems to be more important than the environment and social behavior. Xenophobia is on the rise again, borders are closing and history threatens to repeat itself. In addition to speech melodies, emotions such as anger, sadness, hope, as well as musical transcriptions and spectral analyses from nature and the city will be used.
The importance of “looking” at current developments, as well as taking a position and communicating this to the outside world, is to be thematized with this new composition.
