The German/Italian trio met in Arnhem in the Netherlands. The musicians studied together at the ArtEZ Conservatory and realized that they all share the joy of experimenting with music and looking for new ways and possibilities to express themselves.

The name Ingen Navn means no name in Norwegian. The meaning of the trio for them is to freely express what they feel and not be limited by expectations, rules and constructs. Everything can happen, everything can be there, it can flow and every moment can be different, every emotion can be there. Every moment hides different sounds, secrets that want to be played, that want to be expressed.
Filtering out what is already there. To make the intangible, tangible.
The Ingen Navn Trio played among others at the Make it Jazz Festival (2019) in Tilburg, TakeNote! Festival (2019) at Brebl in Nijmegen, So whats next Festival in Eindhoven (2020), and Festival Jazz International Nijmegen (2021). They are also winners of the Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation Jazz Competition (2021).

The album Elewha (Berthold Records) embodies the theme of water/underwater and is a journey from the surface of the water to 10,000 meters deep. The listener is sucked further into the depths of the sea with each track, experiencing in their mind’s eye encounters with mysterious undiscovered creatures of the ocean floor and the dancing of enchanting multi-colored aquatic plants.
The music is an interplay of atmospheric soundscapes, dreamy melodies and energetic rhythmic improvisations.
