There is a disease that is spreading in our society. It is contagious, a common cause of death, and little researched scientifically. Chronically ill people can suffer from immune deficiency, depression and severe cardiovascular problems. To make matters worse, many people have the disease without knowing it. Corona? No, loneliness.

In an interdisciplinary reading with music, singer Julia Ehninger deals with the growing loneliness in our society. A disturbing development, to which she finds humorous approaches with her colleagues Jonas Schneider (texts, conception) and Philipp Basener (spoken word). The sometimes cheerful, sometimes angry, sometimes whimsical voices from loneliness revolve around both the „feeling that no actor can portray“ (Manoj Bajpayee) and its scientific exploration, which distinguishes it from being alone. The musical interventions – together with Florian Herzog (bass, synthesizer) and Jan Philipp (drums) – play with electronic effects and loops and make the feeling of loneliness directly tangible.
