The Koto KOKO Trio celebrates its premiere with new compositions that combine soundscapes from new music, traditional Japanese music, jazz, and free improvisation. The three musicians meet here after getting to know each other in the Trickster Orchestra. Saito and Kikuchi performed as a duo for the first time at the Moers Festival in 2024, and now they have formed a multifaceted trio.

All three artists have received numerous awards: Kikuchi has played with the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestras, among others, Saito received the Berlin Jazz Prize in 2023 and the German Jazz Prize in 2024, and Meinhold is internationally renowned for his cross-genre compositions....
