This results in a mixture of relaxed hanging out and focused rehearsals – since this has been going on for almost two years now, a lot has musically grown together. Pieces are played, but above all a lot of improvisation and interaction takes place....

Without the pressure of having to be virtuosic or spectacular, the result is an impressive and above all profound interplay full of blind understanding.

The US-American Loren Stillman has been a friend of Johannes Ludwig since 2008, lived in Cologne in the meantime and is one of the stylistically most impressive saxophonists of our time.

This concert is in preparation for a recording in the chamber music hall of the DLF in Cologne.
