On their debut album "First Intake" (release March 2021 Hat Hut Records), saxophonist Christopher Kunz and drummer Florian Fischer, in addition to referencing the tradition of this instrumentation, explore their own creative power with integrity and unconditional openness to the moment. Together with pianist Achim Kaufmann, they surrender to the unpredictability of free improvisation and produce abstract, tonality establishing and dissolving sound moments and structures following processes.
