Four musician friends come together for the first time as a quartet after many moments of making music together. Maria Mendoza on flute, Raciel Estrada Rodriguez on piano, Daniel Oetz Salcines on bass and Ayu Requena on drums appreciate and trust each other and are delighted to have this opportunity to explore new paths together. As they all compose themselves in addition to their great instrumental skills, pieces by all four participants will be heard, some of them even written especially for this occasion. Their roots in Venezuela, Cuba, Peru and Germany and their different musical influences play a major role here. It will be exciting to see what will emerge from this highly interesting, explosive mixture of musical identities!...

This concert will also be a kind of farewell party for Cologne native Oetz Salcines, who will be moving to New York just a few weeks later to take up a Master’s degree at City College. All the more reason not to miss this event!
