Jazz singer/songwriter Mirna Bogdanović combines vocal and instrumental, individual and collective, real-time and post-production, perception and reality: all presented in her recently released debut album Confrontation (Klaeng Records). The album was recently awarded the German Jazz Prize as Debut Album of the Year and was nominated for the Quarterly Prize of the German Record Critics.

Bogdanović hails from Slovenia/Bosnia and now lives in Berlin. She is a Downbeat Award winner, former member of the Bundesjazzorchester, former scholarship holder of the University of Arts/ Berlin, Music Fund and the Slovenian Ministry of Culture and current scholarship holder of the Berlin Senate.
