CHIASMA
The idea for this piano solo program was born in 2019 and began with the accumulation of compositions that explore the various sonic possibilities, „advantages“ and peculiarities of the piano, initially limited to pure playing with keys and pedal. The haptic starting point for the music is thus the texture of the hands and the structure of the keyboard. The title symbolizes this thematic framework and the resulting balancing of (a-)symmetry, complementarity and their „crossings“ on different musical levels....
