I’m not sure what criteria the term ‘tradition’ has to fulfil, but for me personally it’s already a tradition to play and record a concert at the LOFT on my birthday and then celebrate with friends and acquaintances, be happy, reflect a little on the past year and make new plans.
Although it’s not an annual tradition, I’m always happy to continue this tradition at LOFT, the place that has been my second home in Cologne for countless years....

I am also delighted that two of my favourite colleagues will be playing with me in a trio this year: with Roger Kintopf on bass and Dominik Mahnig on drums, I have realised a whole series of projects in recent years, practically all of them at the LOFT.
However, we have never played concerts as a trio, and I am full of anticipation about how it will sound.
