Hindol Deb is deeply rooted in Indian classical music and explores the endless possibilities of combinations in the crossover of Indian music with various other genres such as contemporary Western classical music, jazz and Nordic folk music. His search for new sounds and compositional styles led him to Germany, where he completed his master’s degree in jazz improvisation at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. As a composer, he has devoted himself entirely to world music, taking influences from various Western and Middle Eastern musical genres and combining them aesthetically with Indian music.
Hindol is a recipient of the Indian National Scholarship for Sitar and has been invited by Recollets, Riks-konzerter, Academy of Carnegie Hall, Goethe Institut for a music residency program. In 2019, he was invited to collaborate with Marina Abramovic in „Anders Hören“ at the Alte Oper Frankfurt and in the same year became part of Marcus Stockhausen’s septet „Eternal Voyage“ released by SONY music. Hindol recently released his crossover jazz album ‚Essence of Duality‘ and is working on his next release ‚Northlight‘ together with Swedish duo Matthias and Nina Perez. He is also involved in performances of classical Indian music as well as various other projects and is currently teaching at the Popakademie in Mannheim, Germany.

Pascal Hahn was born into a theater family and discovered his love for music at an early age. In 2013, he moved to Cologne to study music at the renowned HOCHSCHULE FÜR MUSIK UND TANZ KÖLN, first for a teaching degree (Bachelor & Master) and then for jazz composition. Already during his studies, Pascal Hahn wrote numerous compositions and arrangements for various ensembles and was awarded several times (Deutschland-Stipendium, scholarship of the Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Stiftung, support by the MKW NRW, the GVL as well as the German Music Council).
Despite his young age, Pascal Hahn has already written numerous arrangements and compositions for theaters and orchestras (e.g. for Anhaltische Philharmonie Dessau, Bergische Symphoniker, lutz – jünge Bühne Hagen, Orchester Osnabrück, Theater Hagen, Apollo Theater Siegen) in addition to his own projects such as Stadtgespräch. An essential characteristic of his work is the search for new sound worlds beyond genre boundaries. He has already initiated and directed several crossover projects. In his projects musicians of different musical cultures meet and create innovative sound worlds.
