With compositions by guest artist Simon Nabatov, as well as Matthias Schubert, Frank Gratkowski, and Carl Ludwig Hübsch, the orchestra proves once again that a good harvest is not a matter of long deliberation. With a sure hand and an unerring sense for the best moment, the accomplished orchestra improvisers transform a wide variety of compositional guidelines in their sleep—because once it starts playing, all music is real-time music.
