After this extraordinary trio celebrated its premiere in Freiburg in 2024 to great acclaim, we are very much looking forward to the concert with long-time PLUSHMUSIC curator and LOFT-friend Gareth Lubbe.

This ensemble unites three outstanding musicians who impress with their deep roots in classical music as well as their innovative improvisational approaches:

Gareth Lubbe, former principal viola of the Gewandhaus Orchestra and professor at the Folkwang University of the Arts, is an internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and overtone singer. In addition to performances at the Berlin Philharmonie and his acclaimed debut at Carnegie Hall as a soloist with musicians from the Metropolitan Opera, he has inspired audiences with his cross-genre projects, including collaborations with Hayden Chisholm, Simon Nabatov and the award-winning quartet MUSE with Nils Wogram....

Felix Borel, first violinist of the SWR Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart, combines classical virtuosity with his passion for contemporary music and improvisation. His musical experience ranges from chamber music ensembles such as Camerata Bern and the Helios Quartet to innovative formations such as ensemble recherche and Trio Ginko.

Michael Kiedaisch, a versatile percussionist, vibraphonist and marimba virtuoso, is known not only for his collaborations with artists such as Markus Stockhausen, Tara Bouman and Mike Svoboda, but also as a driving force behind “Open Music”, a program to promote improvisation and contemporary music among young people. His music draws on a wide range of stylistic influences and combines creativity with technical excellence.
