What free spaces arise when saxophone, guitar and voice meet?
How does a music sound that is based entirely on the interplay in a constellation that understands the duo as a collective, as a space for connectedness, common and complementary?
The two musicians Eva Swiderski and Lucie Graehl, who met during their studies at the Cologne Musikhochschule, try to explore the possibilities that lie in the openness but also the vulnerability of this unusual instrumentation in their music.
But the project is also intended to encourage them to question conventional thought patterns and working methods in jazz: Who accompanies, who stands in the foreground? Is this distinction necessary at all? How can pieces emerge from a joint effort?
Through original compositions and jointly arranged songs, new timbres and an intimate atmosphere emerge, inviting the audience to explore these questions.

Profound lyricism and picturesque sounds intertwine and prepare a way for the text through the music.
Belarusian singer Mariann Shaguroff has always had a dream to tell stories with jazz and fulfills it together with her five-piece band.
They met at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and play Mariann’s own compositions, which deal with musical development as well as personal and social themes, as well as pieces of modern jazz.
Together, the musicians strive to create that certain something that will have listeners riveted to their chairs or on their toes.
