Multi-award winning Ukrainian singer and composer Tamara Lukasheva, French accordionist Laurent Derache and German bassist Calvin Lennig present their program Soft Songs.

Born in the port city of Odessa (Ukraine), Tamara Lukasheva has lived in Cologne since 2010. In 2016, her big band arrangement won first prize at the Bundesjazzorchester (BuJazzO). With her Tamara Lukasheva Quartet she won the New German Jazz Award in 2017, and was also awarded best soloist. In 2018 she received the Cologne Jazz Prize / Horst and Gretl Will Scholarship, and in 2021 she was awarded the WDR Jazz Prize in the composition category. With impressive diversity, French accordionist Laurent Derache has been heard worldwide since 2005, collaborating with theaters such as Opéra Eclaté, Comédiens et Compagnie, or meeting in musical encounters with Maria Schneider, Sanseverino, Art Menge or the Orchestre National de Lille.

Despite his young age, the German bassist Calvin Lennig has already been on stage with many renowned jazz artists, such as Seamus Blake, Evan Parker, Christian Lillinger, Adam Nussbaum, Kit Downes or Pablo Held, just to name a few.
